The Dude... painted

I started this out as a monochromatic study like the Beardman assignment. I ended up liking the skin tones so I decided to add color to the eyes and clothes. I can really see that I need to work on hair. I used Painter for this and haven't used Painter since starting this class. I really liked going back to it. I did the hair in Photoshop though. Now I'm going to have to cut the head off and add a body. That should be interesting...

You really got the lighting perfect on that, I can just feel that there is a soft isolated light source in his front and down low. Excellent painting.
