Also I want to mention that I dont think the nose to mouth area is a problem. Also that Y shaped figure on his upper mouth is actually formed by the line that separates his nose from his mouth area, you'll notice that line is connected to his nose in the ref pic.

You are a lot further along than I am!
I think you are losing some likeness in the mouth area. I would stretch out the area between the nose and mouth and make the lips a bit thinner.
Thanks, I think you're right, I'm going to make the nose to mouth area longer.
I think everyone in the class is in the same boat, in a mad rush to get this done. His teeth definatly are doing funny things in the ref pic.
