So as Patrick mentioned below in his post... we were doing value studies over top of one of Jason's sketches for last week's assignment....here's mine.
My thoughts on the course so far: freaking awesome. Where else can you take a course by a talented and inspiring professional artist you admire?? AND do it from home?? Man - This is what the freakin internet was invented for!! Jason is a really great teacher and you all already know he is SUPAR-talented. I think of these classes like specialized art mini-ateliers you can attend without having to move across the country or quit your job!! Nice to see everyone's reviews too - I've picked up a lot watching those - and the progress everyone is making each week is pretty awesome...

Very nice! It's great to see how we can all start with the same sketch and still keep our own styles.
I agree about taking this course over the net being amazing...makes me wonder how frustrating it must have been for artists trying to find decent instruction before this sort of thing (and dvd's, tutorial sites, forums, etc.) was available.
